Mulan 2020 dvdrip full movie download 123. Another disappointment of the year. Pros: beautiful cinematohraphy, gorgeous images, great soundtrack. Cons: pacing is terrible, lack of character development, random and unexplained character motives, ridiculous amount of cuts in action sequences. It didn't feel as epic as it deserves to be. The film starts okay but quickly demonstrates how inferior it is to the classic in every way. The director said she wanted to make it more realistic but still includes mystical elements and flamboyant fight scenes that are unrealistic for the period it's set in. It's poorly written, organised and it doesn't have the strong impact that the classic has. Instead of being presented with a young woman who overcomes challenges throughout her journey to grow into a strong warrior, we are presented with a young woman who has been strong since a young age and just has to decide whether she wants to show her true abilities. They present Mulan as the "chosen one" which is why she's strong and everything simply falls in her favour. She's an unrelatable character and barely grows throughout the film. And while the film tries to present some lessons that are admirable, they are presented in such a poor way that lack impact and consequently, the messages doesn't inspire the audience. Certain scenes that were very impactful in the classic film are simply glossed over, you really don't feel anything during this movie. The villains aren't menacing and instead make stupid choices that favour the position of the protagonist. The interactions of characters are also kind of awkward to watch. You know they're meant all meant to be close yet you don't feel like they're close at all. And somehow, the film just feels like it drags on without really adding anything exciting compared to the classic. It lost my interest very early on and is just so poorly written! I'm not saying it should have musical numbers or Mushu, but they had the opportunity to present a Chinese story in a interesting way yet somehow made it so boring to watch. Overall, it's not worth the money, it's a boring film that lacks impact, creativity and strong direction. 1/10.
